Set up Liveface for Google Meet

    Open the Liveface swap

    Sign in at liveface.app, grant webcam access, pick a face, and confirm your filtered video is streaming in the tab.

    Install OBS Studio

    Download from obsproject.com — free, open-source, available for macOS / Windows / Linux. ~60-second install, no admin password needed on most consumer machines.

    Window Capture the Liveface tab in OBS

    In OBS: Sources + → Window Capture → pick the browser window with the Liveface tab. Crop to the video panel so Meet sees a clean square without browser chrome.

    Start OBS Virtual Camera

    Bottom-right of OBS → "Start Virtual Camera". This exposes your filtered feed as a system camera device.

    Pick OBS Virtual Camera in Google Meet

    In Google Meet, click the gear icon at the top of any meeting (or before joining) → Video → Camera → select "OBS Virtual Camera". The preview updates to your swapped face; other participants see the filtered video as a regular webcam feed.

    TipIf "OBS Virtual Camera" does not appear, fully restart your browser (not just the Meet tab). Browsers cache the camera device list at startup; new virtual cameras need a relaunch to register.

Do other Meet participants need Liveface Camera?

No. Google Meet receives Liveface Camera as a camera on your Mac; other participants join normally and do not install anything.

Why is Liveface Camera missing from Meet's camera menu?

First confirm the camera extension is approved and the app says Camera ready. Then fully quit and reopen the browser to refresh its camera list.
